Letters from the Community:
From Kristin Samp, VP of Development, Our Children's Homestead:
"Thank you so much for your recent grant contribution of $7,500 given to Our Children's Homestead. Your contribution goes such a long way by helping us provide emergency services for our children and provide things for them the state and foster parents cannot! Thank you for supporting our mission and more importantly our children."
From From Kimberley C. Perez, Executive Director, People's Resource Center:
"I want to thank you for your $2,000 donation. Your generosity makes a huge difference in the lives of so many children, adults and elderly people. Thank you for supporting PRC's efforts to end humber and poverty in DuPage County."
From Karole Kettering, Executive Director, Humanitarian Service Project:
"Thank you so very much for your generous donation of $5,900 to our Feed the Kids program. Feed the Kids serves children who would receive free or reduced-cost school meals during the school year. However, when school is out for the summer vacation, statistics show these needy children are not assured of adequate nutrition. Our program provides 100 families with 335 children 200 to 250 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, bread, non-perishable food, and healthy snacks in June, July and August. Your support for our work in invaluable, and we are so grateful for your efforts to improve the lives of area children."
From Western DuPage Special Recreation Association:
"Through partnerships like your organization, our participants with disabilities are able to participate in programs that truly impact their quality of life. Our inclusion requests have doubled over the last three years. Your $6,000 grant will help us to continue offering quality inclusion services in the Naperville area."
From Tana Tatnall, Executive Director, Literacy DuPage:
"In response to the very generous grant of $1,000, I join with hundreds of adult learners in our program to say thank you for your generosity and for helping us reach more adults who need to learn to read, write, speak and understand English. Your support is critical and we appreciate that you chose to invest your money in the lives of adults who are unable to get the help they need elsewhere."
From NCO Youth & Family Services:
"On behalf of the Board of Directors and staff of NCO Youth and Family Services, we would like to express our sincere appreciation for your generous donation to our annual Auction. The proceeds from this year's Auction will enable NCO to continue helping youth and families in our community. You have truly made a difference!"
From Nancy Wiersum, Community Development Director, NCTV Channel 17:
On behalf of the entire Naperville Community Television Organization, I want to thank the Naperville Jaycees for the generous grant of $2,397 for the replacement of three camera tripods which have been used well beyond life expectancy and have been repaired repeatedly. NVTV17 tripods are a part of every single field production, and represent programming from all geographic segments of this community. We are deeply appreciative that you chose NCTV17 as a grant recipient."
From Marylin Krolakl, Executive Director, DuPage Senior Citizens Council:
"I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Naperville Jaycees for their generous gift in the amount $5,000. Your continual commitment to assist in funding the Meals on Wheels nutrition, well-being, and home maintenance/repair services provided to the seniors of DuPage County is sincerely appreciated.
From Michele Wilkins, Executive Director, Child's Voice:
"On behalf of the Child's Voce students and Board of Directors, I thank you for your generous contribution. We sincerely appreciate your continued support. The goal of Child's Voice is to give children who are deaf or hard of hearing the gift of speech. Donations like yours ensure that we can continue our mission of empowering children who are deaf or hard of hearing to be successufl in all educational and social settings by optimizing their listening, speaking and academic skills. Thank you for your support.
From Emily Stern, Executive Director, Rebuilding Aurora Together:
"I would like to thank you for your generous contribution of $5,000, which will be used to purchase and utilize materials and supplies used for the April Rebuilding Event project. This is our program through which we provide large-scale rehab services to about 30 low-income needy families in Aurora. Our organization would not survive without the continued generosity of communities and organizations that make a point to care for their neighbors and those that struggle to care for themselves. On a personal note, I have found the Naperville Jaycees to be one of the hardest working, dedicated and compassionate groups that I have ever worked with."
From Julie L. Carlsen, Coordinator of Grants, Naperville Education Foundation, District 203:
"Our week started on a high note when we received your letter and accompanying check in the amount of $8,925 to help fund our EKG project at the high schools this year. Thanks to the Jaycees for recognizing the importance and value of this program!"
From Karen Hurley Kuchar, Executive Director, Family Shelter Services:
"On behalf of the staff and board of Family Shelter Service, and especially the women and children we serve, thank you so much for your recent contribution of $10,000. Your response to Family Shelter's mission to provide help and hope for victims of domestic violence allows us to strengthen our impact in this community. Through your contribution, not only do you enhance our financial position to serve, you become one more person standing up against domestic violence."
