This year's parade will be the best one yet with the theme...
The
City of Naperville & the Naperville Jaycees
Celebrate
our Award-winning Community

The
Parade is scheduled for:
Monday, September 6, 2004 beginning at 10:00
a.m. sharp.
Sponsored by: Chicago Tribune
Money
Magazine recently named Naperville as the one of the best places to
live in America. The 2004
parade theme is “The City of Naperville and The Naperville Jaycees
Celebrate our Award-Winning Community”.
We encourage everyone to come enjoy the Labor Day Parade, come
out and show your community spirit.
Parade entries will show off why Naperville won this award.
The 2004 Grand Marshall is the
Honorable Mayor A. George Pradel.
Mayor A. George Pradel has been Naperville’s mayor since May
1, 1995. Prior to that,
he had served in the Naperville Police Department for 29 years.
He is very active in the community with groups and
organizations such as the Naperville Lions Club, Naperville Rotary
Club, American Cancer Society, Illinois Police Association, DuPage
County Association and the Naperville Marines, VFW, American Legion,
and the Naperville Jaycees. Mayor
Pradel is an ambassador and advocate to our community and we are
honored to have him lead our parade.
Parade route:
The parade begins at the corner of Mill Street and 5th
Avenue, by Naperville North High School.
It will proceed south on Mill Street, east on Jefferson Avenue,
south on Main Street, west on Porter, and end in the parking lot
behind Naperville Central High School.
Streets along the parade route close at 9:00
a.m.
Please note: we will only consider
canceling in the event that the National Weather Service issues severe
thunderstorm warnings for the City of Naperville.
