CURRENT ACTIVITY:  As of  November 16, all concrete work has been completed, brick pavers are being installed and the stone retaining walls have been constructed. Learn about the Naperville Jaycees Commemorative Paver Program HERE

TIMELINE: Pending weather or unforeseen circumstances, work is scheduled to be completed in May 2019.

PARK FEATURES: Once constructed, the park will include accessible and stepped entrances, several different types of seating, tables, charging stations, USB ports and outlets. WiFi will be provided throughout the park, and canopies and trellises will be installed to provide sun protection. Naperville Jaycees Park will be free and open to the public. Eco-friendly amenities include permeable pavers and rain gardens. Energy for Naperville Jaycees Park will come from solar panels installed on the roof of the Municipal Center.

POWERING THE PARK: 165 solar panels, which were installed on the roof of the Municipal Center in October 2018, will produce energy to power the Naperville Jaycees Park. In addition to powering the park, the renewable energy generated from the solar panels will reduce the amount of power purchased to operate the Naperville Municipal Center. The use of solar energy will generate $7,000 in annual savings, which will be used to support the maintenance of the park. Watch how much energy these panels generate in real time HERE.
