In response to the current social and economic crisis brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, The Naperville Jaycees and Oswald’s Pharmacy are hosting a COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVE in cooperation with Men In Black Pest Control Services; using funds and items donated to provide support to a variety of local emergency relief organizations.
This supply drive is taking place in lieu of another, large-scale, annual event hosted by the Jaycees over the same weekend.

FOOD, SUPPLIES & CLOTHING DONATIONS can be dropped off to the taped off and marked collection station on the sidewalk in front of Oswald’s Pharmacy, 88 W Gartner Rd #112, Naperville, IL 60540, during the hours listed above. Minimal volunteers will be onsite wearing gloves and masks and will remove items from vehicle trunks upon request.
Lists of requested items, provided by area NFPs, will be available onsite and and items which are MOST needed are marked below. Additionally, donations may be purchased within Oswald’s Pharmacy, Casey’s Foods and Trader Joe’s; all located in the Naperville Plaza Shopping Center.
*All items collected will be cleaned using professional sanitizing wipes rated to destroy human coronavirus prior to being distributed to relief organizations.
For those wanting to help but who are either uncomfortable gathering items or unable to leave home, MONETARY DONATIONS can be made using cash or check at the collection point during the hours listed above, via credit card HERE or cash or check mailed to:

The Jaycees host a variety of activities throughout the year which benefit local nonprofits whose clients suffer from food or housing insecurity.
The following events take place to help generate monetary or physical donations for these purposes:
Easter Pet Pictures – an event offered to the public with a suggested donation to benefit NFP partners. (cancelled for 2020)
Easter Egg Hunt – offered the Saturday prior to Easter in Sportsman’s Park; includes a nonperishable food drive for donations to local food pantries. (cancelled for 2020)
Food Trucks – sponsored and volunteer driven direct distribution day(s) done in conjunction with the Northern Illinois Food Bank.
Last Fling – held in Downtown Naperville over Labor Day Weekend; generates revenue for the Jaycees general donation fund and physical contributions of unopened and unused product to local food pantries.
Halloween Party – this costume party takes place at a local business and is complete with games, prizes and non-perishable donations.
Food Drives – hosted in partnership with local businesses to collect funds, food and other necessities to support local relief organizations.
Pet Pictures with Santa – an event offered to the public with a suggested financial contribution to benefit NFP partners.
Holiday Meeting – takes place following the December General Member Meeting at VFW Post 3873 on Jackson Ave; generates revenue for the Food Giving Committee and nearly 1,000 lbs of food and donations to other not-for-profit partners.
