Doors Open at 6:30pm – Show Starts at 7:30pm
Following well-received and successful recordings of the first six episodes of All You Care To Eat: A Comedy Thingy Podcast – the latest venture from the sketch and improv comedy troupe, Comedy Thingy – the seventh episode, entitled, All You Care To Eat: The Holiday Special, will be recorded live in Naperville!
The audience will see two unique comedy shows in one night! First, they will be part of the live audience for the recording of The Holiday Special. Following a brief intermission, the cast will then present an improv comedy set to close out the evening.
Content for both will be uncensored and recommended for audiences 18 and older. Admission is $20 and tickets may be purchased through NapervilleJaycees.com. Proceeds will go to the Naperville Jaycees for their charitable contributions.
All You Care To Eat is a monthly-recurring, uncensored sketch comedy podcast series parodying NPR programs, such as Prairie Home Companion. Every episode is presented in the style of a radio play with live sound effects, music, and readings by performers with scripts-in-hand. The initial six episodes were all recorded in front of wonderful audiences at The Black Box Theatre in Moline, IL, and are available to download for free on iTunes, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, SoundCloud, TuneIn, or wherever your favorite podcasts are found.
Comedy Thingy will once again be joined by Chicago comedian/actor and host of the podcast, Patrick Brennan; announcer, Tom Maicke (99 Plus Pirate Radio); Jessica Nicol White (ComedySportz); Chicago musician, Kathryn Sander; keyboardist, Mike Brose; and some very special guests including Chicago-based performer, Rebecca Langguth.
Doors open at 6:30pm. Show begins at 7:30pm. There will be a cash bar in the lobby.
